New York has two football teams, the New York Jets and the New York Giants
that both play their home games in New Jersey.The season runs from August to
December and they play on alternate weekends at Meadowlands Sports Complex.
Tickets are very hard to come by and it is probably better to watch the
games on TV. If you do want to see a live game, there are plenty of ticket
scalps outside the stadium on game days or try the Internet for picking up
some cheap tickets.
The third Sunday in January is the Superbowl, this is the showcase match of
the season when the two national finalists meet. The television coverage is
on for hours and every bar with a big screen shows the game. If you can't
get tickets for this exciting game, just head on down to the nearest bar and
soak up the atmosphere.
