Many of the major routes in and out of New York City have toll charges in
operation on the bridges.
These charges vary from $1.50 for the smaller bridges to $6 for the larger
bridges, like the George Washington Bridge between New Jersey and New York.
The charges for the bridges of the Triborough Bridge Authority charge $3.50
for journeys each way.
Don't drive in the E-Z Pass lanes as these are for pre-paid permit holders,
allowing them to drive straight past the toll booth without stopping.
All toll charges must be paid in cash
