There is only one horse riding stable in the whole of Manhattan - the
Claremont Riding Academy. There is an indoor arena or you can rent a mount
with an English-style saddle and go riding in Central Park. The Jamaica Bay
Riding Academy offers trail riding in some of Brooklyn's rural areas near
the JFK Airport. Western style saddles are available here. Horse riding
lessons are also available for $60 per hour or $35 per half hour.
