Appalachian National Scenic Trail – This fantastic trail covers 222,174 acres and it stretches for approx 2,160 miles. Castle Clinton – This national monument is situated on approx 1 acre of land and it is named after the Mr DeWitt Clinton who was once the Mayor of New York city. The Battery was constructed back in 1808 and was completed in 1811. Fort Stanwix National Monument – This site was constructed in 1758 and is located on over 15 acres of land. In 1977 when the British forces invaded Canada this was the site of the American defence.
